Originally operating from Christchurch, New Zealand CANZ Design owners Kym Browning and Lynn Brown moved to San Diego in July 2008 and still maintain an office in New Zealand. Kym (a native Californian) lived and worked in New Zealand for several years before she and Lynn (Kiwi born) decided to open an office in San Diego.
The name CANZ = California – New Zealand.

The Canz Hedgehog
Hobit the hedgehog was about 2 weeks old when he was rescued from a very persistent cat that was stalking him in Lynn Brown’s (the head of our SEO department) garden several years ago. He has obviously been the subject of many photographs and graphics created since that time and rapidly became the Canz mascot.
